While the amnount of activity on the filesystem is an issue, there are techniques to recover a lost file from a ext2 file system. A ggogle search will turn up some HOWTOs using the ext2 file system tools and some other software. Ext3 is another issue. It seems like one oght to be able to play the journal, then remount the filesystem as ext2. But I've never seen any instructions and I could be way off base on that. -- Matthew Saltzman Clemson University Math Sciences [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.clemson.edu/~mjs -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@;redhat.com?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
