I am not sure what you mean by "cannot see the windows partition". Are you expecting it to be automatically mounted? Does it have an entry in /etc/fstab? Does it fail when you try to mount it manually? Is is on a separate hard disc, that you cannot see? How are you looking for it? Can Linux fdisk see it?
