If this is for personal use and you're running Windows, I recommend the official freeware from PGP Corp <http://www.pgp.com/> (U.S. users) or <http://www.pgpi.org/> (non-U.S. users). If you're running Linux I recommend GnuPG <http://www.gnupg.org/>. This is not PGP. It is a Free Software implementation of the OpenPGP standard and is generally interoperable with PGP.
