Hi, I got the following problem in a RH 7.3 box:
If I'm using KDE and switch to a shell terminal by pressing CONTROL+ALT+FXX, some time later the X server dies, and restarts remaining at the login screen again.. it does not happen 100% of the times, but almost... some times I have to switch several times between X and console for this to happen.. it only happens with KDE, not with Gnome.. the following errors appear in /var/log/messages : Sep 25 14:52:31 juan kdm[1113]: Server for display :0 terminated unexpectedly Sep 25 14:52:31 juan kde(pam_unix)[10444]: session closed for user juan Sep 25 14:52:33 juan kernel: mtrr: base(0xd0000000) is not aligned on a size(0x180000) boundary any ideas? the only things I could find in google were in Russian!!
