Are you trying to boot in graphical mode (run-level 5) or text mode (run-level 3)? In case of the former, the reason for the error can be that your X server keeps crashing due to misconfiguration or driver problems. Temporarily you might want to boot into text mode and try starting X manually with the "startx" command. You can change the default run-level in /etc/inittab (the "initdefault" line) or via your boot loader (add the argument 3 to the kernel parameters). However, it can also be damaged system files. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE91RIw0iMVcrivHFQRAiXoAJ9SSbsJSck6BITY5vktPXFfOp3VRQCeJhVn 8JxDUkZwmm5e6oYdw108F6g= =kZzL -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:redhat-list-request@;redhat.com?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
