Mount the share as the user you want to be able to read and write to it (mount command as root)...

mount -t smbfs -o uid=<user>,gid=<group> //windoze_box/share /mnt/whatever

I have a Windows share mounted on my RH8 system. I can write to it logged on as root but not as a regular user. Any suggestions??
Thanks
