DSL modems cannot "dial" an analog device, so it can't be done directly. You can still use a dialup/analog modem with ADSL, if you wanted to do it this way. The only problem is how to handle default routing if you wanted both active at the same time. Othewise, you should be able to dial out, disconnect, and maybe re-initialization the previous networking if it got clobbered.
