Greetings, I'm trying to create more than 16 paritions on an IDE drive (95GB) to use it as raw devices for a database server. The problem is than when i reach the number 16 then i got an error from fdisk saying than no more extended partitions can be created.
I read than you can have 64 partitions for an IDE drive and 16 for an SCSI drive so i'm clueless here. Anyone has ever created so many partitions? I'm using RH 7.3, 2.4.18-3, util-linux-2.11n-12 (where fdisk is contained).
