I downloaded the updates that were available for my 8.0 system. I used rpm -Uvh to install them, and it seemed to work ok. There were no error messages (ran them as root). However, they dont seem to have gone into effect. The update agent still says i need all those updates. When i reboot i dont have the updated kernel.
