Hi all,

is there a tutorial/resource that explains how to deal with a lost root
password?

Many thanks...
1. Boot into single-user mode by passing "single" as argument at boot: - this
will mount the root filesystem and drop you into a shell on it.

2. Boot installation CD and use it in "rescue" mode - this will mount your
old system and allow you to chroot to it where you can then change the password.

3. Any others anyone?
