OK - thank you for checking on whether this was a known issue or not.
Feel free to include this email in the case details so that the support
engineer knows the work we have already done.
Thank you!

Sébastien - I tried your recommendation but I got the same errors. Then I
kill the createrepo command and I tried giving the command a second time and
now it can not find 'createrepo'
Brian - I tried your recommendations and I still got:
Error: failed to
retrieverepodata/b3ccd2d46c872bb55acd728f368fe07e365b695e-primary.xml.gz from
rhel-x86_64-server-5
error was [Errno -1] Metadata file does not match checksum
I will try to see if setting the server for updates via the rhn site works.
If this does not work then I will open a tocket.
Thanks
Néstor

Hi Nestor,
We recently addressed an issue with RHN that could be contributing to your
situation. The issue has been identified and corrected. If you could please
try running these steps and seeing if it addresses your issue I would
appreciate it.
# yum clean all
# rm -rf /var/cache/yum/*
# yum update
If you still have issues after this please open up a support case at
access.redhat.com and we can continue assisting you.
Thank you!

I have 2 systems entitled on the rh.redhat.com
yet when I do the command:
$ sudo yum update
Loaded plugins: rhnplugin, security
This system is receiving updates from RHN Classic or RHN Satellite.
Skipping security plugin, no data
Setting up Update Process
No Packages marked for Update
But in the rhn site, my 2 systems show packages ready to be updated
I tried it several times and then I finally set up the update from
within
rhn.redhat.com
I was wondering if any of you guys ever had this problem?
Thanks,
