Another Fever Pitch fact:
My wife and I are in the movie. Well ... not exactly. I was at a game
in '04 when they asked everyone who was interested to stay after the
game because they wanted to film a scene for a movie and they needed a
crowd. We stuck around (along with half the stadium) and they filmed
the scene when Drew Battymore jumps off the center field wall and runs
across the field to find Jimmy in the box seats. Fallon and Barrymore
were actually there. We never made the screen - but if you listen
carefully you can hear us cheering.

I learned a couple of fun facts from the DVD.
1. The producers wouldn't write a script where the Red Sox won
it all because they didn't want to jinx it.
2. Jimmy Fallen and Drew Barrymore were actually on the field
for the celebration after the Sox won the WS in St. Louis.
And a bonus fact.
3. Wally the Green Monster has really packed on the pounds
since then.
