This is just crazy. A statistic's name sold as a product endorsement. FIFA now has the Castrol index: http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/statistics/castrolindex/index.html
One would think that the Castrol index would measure a player's greasiness, or perhaps slipperiness. But it is a concoction of measuring football moves. http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/statistics/castrolindex/index.html I wonder if we should sell the name to OPS. I always thought "On-base Plus Slugging" was a lame name for a stat. The Microsoft Index? The Walmart Measure? hmmm....
