Ahh. A real keyboard.

The monster seats look majestic for such a soccer game there. I was
envious as soon as I walked through the tunnel.

My seats were section 50 near home plate.

Section 60 was great. Close the pitch, but at the end. Still a
wonderful view.

>From section 58 and around toward first base, the seats were not good.
They were far from the pitch, too low to see some action, especially if
the ball was played closest to those seats because there was a barrier
that had up that you could not see through. The stadiums built for
soccer have the first rows of seats higher off the pitch so there is not
such an obstruction.

Just imagine being 50 yards from the sideline at nearly ground level or
even just a few feet off the ground with a 4 foot high barrier that's
only 10 feet from the sideline along the whole sideline.

In other words, there's a huge well of seats in and around home plate
and down to first base that had a hugely obstructed view AND were far
from the center of the pitch.

Ray's seats were great. The seats we moved to were good (got lucky).
And it appeared as though the bleachers and anywhere above 15 feet high
were good. Lesson learned. In another 40 years, I'm going to make sure
my kids and grandkids don't sit in the wrong place for a soccer game at
Fenway.

I didn't see any divit's torn up in the outfield proper. There was one
on the sod near 1st base.

I think we won't notice the difference, and it will be much less of a
problem than the Stones concert.

The mound is easy.
Soils and compactors.
Just a matter of hours to near perfection I'll bet.

Grass is difficult.
Bet we see a weird a weird hop or two from the ball in the outfield some
time. But... They do have over a wek to get it right.

I think they just put it back and let the pitchers bitch about it like
they always do.

I think they take the mound down each winter.

I still wonder how they take down and rebuild the mound and get
it to be exactly how the pitchers like.

It was a great game and a grand time. Fenway is a much better
soccer venue than Gillette. The crowd was close to the field, there was
lots of noise, and the park looked great. Attendance of 32,000.
