He's not even close. That's 200 wins over 19 seasons, an average of a little more than 10 per year. His career ERA is 4.39, the definition of average in this era. He has one All-Star appearance and finished in the top 10 in the Cy Young Award voting once (third in 1995). He'll long be remembered fondly for his versatility but there's a huge gap between Wakefield and the Hall of Fame. -- Matt

Starter, Bullpen, length of career, innings eaten to keep other pitchers fresh, etc. He's been invaluable to the FO as well the whole team - when he retires it will be a huge gap to fill.
