Blame?  I'm assigning blame.

I blame Tom for our chemistry.  Yup.  Tom is the hothead, and the one with
the vicious wit, and he has a tendency, at family events, to sit in the
corner and twirl a steak knife between his fingers muttering "Soon they'll
all be asleep."
