What bother me most about the notion that Tito couldn't reach the players is 
that baseball managers have no real position power.  The players listen to 
the manager because they respect him and think that he'll give them the best 
chance of winning.   For these players not to have listened to Tito means 
that they either didn't respect him (which is shameful) or didn't care about 
winning (which I'm starting to wonder about.)
