Don't know why we are so surprised. The Sox trash EVERYONE that leaves them. That's a habit I wish would be broken. Makes them look classless.

He should step up to protect his employees and former employees from such scurrilous reports. And if the Sox management were aware of and concerned about the pain killers than Lucchino was being completely disingenuous when he flashed his sad, puppy eyes the night the Francona quit/got fired and claimed to be puzzled about Francona's suggestion that management didn't completely back him. In my eyes John Dennis this morning lost whatever credibility he had left by suggesting Sox ownership wasn't responsible for the leak. Instead, he tried to steer the blame at Varitek.
