It makes sense that the preparation for SB 42 was poor. The team was outplayed and, more shockingly, outcoached. The former seldom happens and the latter never happens. Sounds like 19-0 preyed on minds more than we realized.

Is he reallly just trying to set the tone for the team or is it POSSIBLE that he sees this as his last trip to the big show and he's choosing to enjoy it. Will he retire after this season? Especially if they win.... Just as an aside, Heath Evans was on the radio the other day saying he Belichick rode the team a little too hard in the week preceding the last superbowl. Practices were tough and, perhaps more damaging, he forced the Pats to move to another hotel the night before the Superbowl to get them away from the distracctions. Problem was the new hotel was a disaster (poor scouting by the travel folks) and the team didn't really get comfortable. He repeatedly said he didn't want to blame that on the loss and begrudgingly credited the Giants for being the better team that day. Anyway, this morning Belichick said the team will not be moving to another hotel. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Red Sox Citizens" group.
