I agree. Yeah, it's nice to win from time to time (NOT 86 years!) but I don't feel the need to win it every year, just like I don't think the team needs an all-star at every position, like some Yankees fans feel. I like seeing new, young guys like Will Middlebrooks, knowing that they are going to have growing pains and rough spells (unless your name is Bryce Harper). As long as they are competitive, I could live with a WS win (or 2) every decade. Makes them that much more sweet.
Now, the debate may be, is this team going to be competitive??
