So what did we learn from the first-half, which sees the Sox as a mediocre team, finishing exactly where they started?
1) Bobby V can't turn water into wine unless it's the bullpen. 2) The Sox have an awfully good AAAA roster. 3) Jacoby Ellsbury heals v e r y s l o w l y. 4) Big Papi can still play. 5) The 'Big 3' starters have very little sense of pride or motivation. Certainly not an 'ace' attitude among them. 6) The Sox do have some 'younger' players that can play - Middlebrooks, Kalish, Nava (not young but he can still play) 7) We won't see the 'starting' outfield of Crawford/Ellsbury/Rossweeney until August.
