I'm not saying he sucks but his location on the ball that Gardner took out of the yard was low (below the strike zone) and for the most part he looked good outside of the 2nd inning when he gave up the 2 runs. He looked solid in spring training - and on a normal night 2-3 ERs wouldn't be so bad - but tip our hat to the old man Petite (yes - he's younger than me!) who stopped the hitting from our side for 8 strong innings. Rivera didn't look as good - we almost got something going in the top of the last frame... I'll give Demspter a few more starts before I call the glass half-full or empty.
