Hi All,
I thought I'd let you all know what a sad day I had. I came home from
shopping to find my 10 year old female clownfish had passed away from what
seems to be natural causes (no damage to the body). I found her laying on
her side at the base of the bubble tip anenome that has been her home since
I bought her. The male was hovering in the water next to her looking very
sad... They were 2 weeks old when I bought them and had been regularly
spawning for the past 8 years. 2 months ago I bought a nursery tank to try
and rear some of the fry but I hadn't got round to setting it up yet!!
I'm going to get the male a new mate next weekend and hopefully my male will
turn into a female and the new one will become a male... and I'll have to
keep my nursery tank for another year until the male becomes old enough to
do the biz, if the other one accepts it that is!!
Lets just hope the male doesn't die of lonelyness by the weekend!!
Regards
Jules
