I have been struggling over the past few months to try to get my alkalinity
up. It has been between 1 and 2 ( really low). 2 weeks ago I bought some
kent supperbuffer dKh. The directions say to use this daily until the alk
is where you want it then use every 2 weeks. It took about a week of daily
additions to get to an alk of about 4. Within 2 days of not using this my
alk was down to 2 again. My next step was to buy a Magnesium test kit and a
supplement. When I tested the Mg it was actually high (1800ppm). Could
this be causing an alk problem? If not any other suggestions? pH 8.3 Ca
