Put it in a low current area (but with a little current, like enough current
to sway the tentacles back and forth, like tall grass in a breeze) with low
to medium light. MAKE SURE that it is on the bottom of the tank, and put it
right into the sand at an angle, almost laying down in the sand. These
animals come from lagoon areas and in nature are found almost buried in sand
and silt, and usually at an angle. Once you find this perfect spot, leave it
there until it either pulls through or dies. Moving them around seems to do
just as much harm as leaving them in place. It seems a key with them is to
have a tank that is heavily loaded with fish, and high in organics. You may
consider getting some selcon and lightly squirting some on and around the
coral with the filters and pumps off. Try .5 ml once a day. Let it sit like
that for 20 minutes or so before you fire the pumps back up. If you are
lucky, it will absorb some of that.

Is it eating, or have you tried feeding it? You need to feed feed feed.
Feed it once our twice a day if you can. Try feeding it during the day, and
try it at night. If it will not take food, keep trying. Try it early in the
morning and middle of the afternoon and early in the evening, and at night
after the lights are off. If it starts taking food, begin soaking the food
in selcon as well.

These are not so easy to keep as they were once rumored, and the survival
rate on them these days has actually been reported as low. Once again, they
like tanks with lots of fish, and quite honestly, do well in neglected
tanks. We tend to over clean our tanks (for these corals at least), which
actually makes it a bit tougher to keep them alive. If someone were to say
"I have tank with low lighting that I never clean that has way to many fish"
I would say "perfect for an elegance!".

Good luck!

        Hi All
I have an Elegance that's not doing well! They supposedly are "easy
to keep"
I have bubble coral, Colts disk which are all doing well! I've
tried moving
from top to bottom and in and out of current with no response.
Anyone have
        another trick I can try?
        Thanks
        jeff
