Astrea snails and tons of little creatures that are popping up every from

So, if this is an Apstatia, will it hurt the tank to leave it in? My kids
are fascinated by it, so I hate to just kill it off.

Looks like apstatia to me... or rock anemone,they are a total nuisance in
the tank, you can try to kill it by injecting it with kalk,or the easy way,
buy peppermint shrimp!
