Hi John,
I have a Devils Hand in my tank. Its about 6 inches below the surface and
directly under one of my 250W 10K haildes that is 10inches above the water.
My Eheim 1060 return pump (from sump) blows water right over it so the
current is pretty good. The white polyps are out all the time now in that
amount of light. In my old tank it would never open properly and that was
lit by flouro tubes (300 watts worth)...

PS. if you've only just put it in it might have shrunk whilst it is settling
in as this coral will do that occasionally. Mine closes up every 5 weeks or
so for about a week and when it opens it sheds a thick brown skin...
