It is most likely, judging from what Baensch had to say,
that the staff at FFE were not aware of the dimorphism.
Therefore, it is possible that  anytime males were removed 
from the tank for that species, fish presumed to be females 
actually became males, most likely unbeknownst to the staff. 
Remember, the quote said that groups of ten or less are always 
females, so if they went out as three females, then they remained
females. Unless of course those three were already in the process
of morphing, but the liklihood of culling three morphing fish for a 
single shipment seems very slim. Without visual documentation
of the lives of those three fish, the best we can do is speculate.
