In my 30 gallon tank I have about sand bed that goes anywhere from less then
1 to around 5 inches. (damsel has tunnles dug under the rocks) Right now i
have 3 fish and about 15 or so corals, couple snails and maybe 5 or 6
hermits. I currently do not have a sump. I do have one of Ron's 3 inch
skimmers that kicks. I do plan on adding a sump, with maybe some more live
rock and more sand. I have heard all these reports about sand beds tossing
out hydrogen sulfide. Will the caulerpa prevent this is anyway. I thought the
point of a DSB was for the annoxic zones to convert nitrate to nitrogen gas.
And what keeps the caulerpa from showing up in the main tank. Other then
tangs. I guess basically my question is should i add macro algae to my sump
once i add it?
