I have 2, 1 in a 90 and 1 in a 125, they eat tetra krill, both tanks have
many peppermint shrimp to control aptasia's and they are both almost 2 years
old. While they are big now and once in a while knock things over, oh well
I knock more over than they do. They have NEVER even come close to coming
after me. I would recommend them for a reef. The only problem I have had
is one time I opened my bedroom door to find one on the floor 6 months ago,
I put him back in the tank and he is fine. I would heed the warning of
making sure all escapes are covered ( I now use fiberglass screening from a
hardware store). but of all eels the Snowflake is the best. Their teeth are
for crushing, so eating fish (unless VERY small) are out of the question.
Even if I forget to feed them, they never have eaten even one shrimp(I also
have a cleaner and scarlet cleaner shrimp and they aren't shy they walk up
to the Snowflake). My $.02 Good Luck, Chris
