You got that right. My LFS had a flameback angel, an absolutely cool fish,
and the owner was trying to sell it to me. I told him no, because I didnt
want to have to try and catch the damn thing in 2 months when it started
picking on my corals. He said, "flamebacks dont pick on corals, here look in
Reef Aquariums I (sprung), they are in all kinds of tanks in this book."
Sure enough too, they were. In probably 4 or 5 of them, there are flameback
angels. I almost bought one, and then decided not to. I told him they were
coral killers and I didnt want anything to do with one.
In order to prove me wrong, he put one in a 29 gallon reef tank display he
has at his store. I come back about a week later, and I am just kickin back
watching this fish. Sure enough, the little bastard swims up to a brain
coral and picks at it, one two three times. I am yelling "hes doing it, hes
picking on that coral." Just as the owner turns to look, the "angel" swims
off like nothing. He says "yea right".
So the next week I go back. There is a fish trap in the tank and about 5
nets soaking wet laying around the tank. I asked what was going on. He went
on to explain that the flameback had, for the last week, been picking on and
almost killing various corals throughout the tank. He had been trying to
catch it for the last few days and had not been successful. He finally
emptied the reef of rock to catch the flameback and sold it to a guy with a
fish only tank where he has since lived happily ever after.
Moral to this lengthy story, never trust an angel (fish that is).

LEAVING THE LIST
================
To stop receiving messages you will need to send a message to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] with a command to remove you from the list. The list
manager controls who belongs to the list.
