Is anybody using a CPR Overflow? If so, is yours...um...
extremely loud?
I just put one on my tank, and the back portion of the
overflow never fills with enough water to keep the incoming
flow from having to drop about an inch, so there's this
constant sound of running water. The tank is in my
office, and this is just making me need to pee all the
time. :)
Any thoughts about how to quiet it down a bit? It kind
of looks like if I were to cut a sponge to the same size
as the back reservoir and poke a hold it in, I could put
it in the stream of incoming water and make it a little
quieter. My only concern is that I want to be ABSOLUTELY
sure that the overflow is taking out as much water as the
pump is putting back in, or there's going to be a
godawful mess! This is the first time I've had a sump
on my tank, so some of the setup is by trial and (hopefully
not catastrophic) error.
Thanks in advance for any assistance...
Regards,
Eric Longman
