One more thing to keep in mind here: It's best to add the live rock before any 
substrate is added. You don't want your reef structure sitting on a bed of sand that 
could shift at a later date, causing part of your reef to topple over. For stability, 
the LR should sit directly on the bottom of the tank. Also, keep as little rock as 
possible in direct contact with the tank bottom, to ensure good water circulation and 
avoid creating dead zones.
