green algae is formed by silicates, you need to perform water changes and
use a silicates remover

Reefkeepers:

I've had my tank up and running for almost a year now. All of my test show
that everything is within the safe range. I'm starting to get a coating of
green algae on my sand bed. How do I get rid of this?

Thank you
Barry
