You might be overskimming the tank because your tank needs vital elements
added everyday for some and once a week for most.Everyone has different
views on supplement additives but as far as I know you should be adding
something to the tank besides just water changes. When I add these
supplements I always have to lower the water line on the skimmer or else it
will just take them out right away.My skimmer always gets more active with
addition of these supplements.I use iodine like every 3 days,Coral vital by
Marc wiess every 3 days,Combisan by two little fish's for trace elements +
,Strontium and molybdium once a week and I soak my foods in zoe and zoecon.I
also just started feeding my live brineshrimp with zoe and zoecon and also
Marinesnow by two little fish's.My corals perk up big time when I add
certain supplements.I also feed my fish 3 times a day what they can eat in
about 2 minutes.I hope this helps and I hope others will give you info on
their additives and feeding schedule so you can get more input.Ken.
