As a
combat Vietnam Veteran...I can only say that this day shall go down in
history...as a time that Americans must become untied as a nation...we today
are neither Democrats , Republicans, Black, White, Yellow, Red, or of any
religious background...we are a nation in mourning...praying and grieving
for our dead and wounded.
The last
thing we need to do as a nation...is to let this act of pure cowardly
hate of deliberate and innocent killing , of men women and
children...go unchecked...We who are the worlds economical leader...and home
of the free and land of the brave...have been brought to our knees...by the
desperate act of peoples...who hate our way of life.
Now is
the time to stand up, be behind our President, our Military, Our Leaders,
Our Rescue Workers...Our People...and let the world at large know...We will
not "shrink" back into hiding...and become what the terrorists...wish us to
be...and that is ...Afraid...we we weep and mourn our dead...grieve and
suffer the loss of our loved ones...and then we will move
on...
Rebuild
our Military to where it was...look closely at our Intelligence
Community...and stop playing politics with money..and fund both of these
agency's with whatever funds it needs.... to insure...that these deadly
attacks...do not continue.
Thirty some years ago...I made a
promise to myself upon leaving the jungles...of Nam...I would never again
harm another human being , except in defense of my family or myself...but
today...I would have broke that promise if given the chance to defend in
some small way my country.
I only
regret...that I am not 19 again...so I could do my part to protect our great
and wonderful country.
But for
all of you out there...who can and are already a part of the military...I
know God will bless you and Protect in Harm's Way...of which you are about
to enter...
Lets
stop the madness now...and stand together as a Country...and let the world
know...this is
The
Untied States Of America...while we are a peace loving nation...with
patience...maybe more than we should...don't let the world be unaware of our
"Resolve"...for we of all people...have one thing...that many other
countries...do not have...and one thing...that NO ONE can every take away
from us...and that is our FREEDOM...
My
Prayers God out to all the families...this day...and in the days that
follow.
I ask
all on this list...to do the same...take a moment ...to reflect...who we
are...and how we got here...and the freedoms we
have...
and
then...Thank God for them...and Vow ...Never to Give Them
UP!
This is
