ArrayIndex...Exception from RE.match

           Summary: ArrayIndex...Exception from RE.match
           Product: Regexp
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Critical
          Priority: Other
         Component: Other
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I was able to get the RE (sources updated from CVS on 20/02/2002) into incorrect
state by using a regular pattern of style (x|(y|(z|...))). I tried to debug the
code, but I've got lost, so it seems I need a help from the maintainer of the
code...

I will attach an example that demonstates the problem. Everything seems to work
without "(" and ")" but with them it crashes.
