My comment on Marc’s suggestions is to not limit to “transport related” wgs but
any relevant working groups

Hi,

Agree with both of Marc’s comments; especially the first one to remove the word
“files”.

Thanks,
Jasdip

Hi,

Apologies for my delay in addressing the IESG feedback to the revised charter.

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/charter-ietf-regext/ballot/

The feedback was substantial and specific that we should attempt to modernize
the charter to match the current IESG thinking on well crafted charters.

Minor comments below.

...

* Data formats for files exchanged between registration entities that need
insertion in or extraction from EPP or RDAP.

Files seem an outdated concept. I would rewrite as "Data formats for exchanges
between ..."

* The specification of application transport protocols for EPP based on
existing RFCs.

My take is we are most likely talking about over QUIC. In this case, as I'm
also involved in specifying another (non regext/app related) protocol natively
over QUIC, it would be appropriate to state that the wg need to coordinate/get
review from the relevant transport protocol wg. Because as I learned, there are
multiple ways to put application protocols into QUIC and proper review really
helps in getting it right. Revised text could be (please change as you wish):

The specification of application transport protocols for EPP based on existing
RFCs, with proper review and advice from the relevant transport protocol wg.

My comments are minor, just ignore them if they don't fit.

Regards, Marc.

The working group does not have fixed deliverables, as it is a maintenance
group that publishes extensions as they are needed by the RDAP and EPP
communities.

I will leave the PR up for review, and discussion on this list for as long as
the chairs would like.

I will do my best to capture any proposed text changes sent to the list, but I
welcome others who are comfortable with GitHub to raise suggestions directly on
behalf of others.

After the list feels comfortable with the proposed changes, which I will leave
to the chairs to confirm.

I will publish the revised charter to the data tracker and work with the IESG
to see if their feedback has been addressed.

Regards,

OS, ART AD
