It does contain GNU.
It is not already part of the GNU project.
But RMS has suggested the name himself, and we will soon link to it from
gnu.org (as RMS also suggested)

GNU Edu, an educational resources catalog
GNUEDU is an indexing system for educational resources. It is based on
state-of-the-art metadata and adds its own concept of "item".
Technically, it is made with MySQL/PHP/Apache.
