Libraries uses a standard called MARC (UNIMARC in France, MARC21 in USA,
but there are many other flavours)
There is a need for a free software specialized in editing MARC biblios.
This project is started by contributors of 2 other GPL project dedicated to
libraries : Koha and PINES, that are both ILS (Integrated Library System)
Koha is hosted on savannah, but I register OpenCataloger on gna because it
provides svn access.
No URL yet, but code is alpha stage, and at least 3 ppl plans to work on it.
OpenCataloger will be under GPL, based on XUL.
It will be a standalon app, as well as heavily interfaced with Koha/Pines or
any other ILS
Other Software Required:
