==== Description: ====
OpenEAS java application server (license : GPL v3).
OpenEAS is a java servlet / JDBC project. Il includes a template scripting
technology (looks like a kind of JSP, ASP or PhP) that allows dynamic content
generation (eg. HTML or XML), including relational database content (SQL
queries can be embedded in the templates).
OpenEAS is currently used by other projects, including an OSS project called
OpenSI (see http://www.opensi.org - an accounting and stock management
application, currently hosted at GNA, covered by the GPL license).
OpenEAS is also used by a proprietary project (expershop - an e-commerce
platform), and on some customer sites. In fact, OpenEAS was initially a part
of expershop (develop by ExperLog - http://www.experlog.com) and has been
extracted as a standalone project in 2004 (and embedded in OpenSI, under a
GPL license).
A quite old version of OpenEAS is provided along with OpenSI, here :
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=97307 (click the
"OpenEAS" link). It should be sufficient to have a look at the code (I can
provide a more recent version if needed, of course !)
==== Other Software Required: ====
Java and servlet container. Java is now free software, and GNA already hosts
java projects (at least OpenSI, which is based on... OpenEAS !)
