Follow-up Comment #3, task #6034 (project admin):

Yes I understand this license restrictions are incompatible with first
freedom of free software (that it sould be usable for whatever purpose) .
However I don't feel OK to develop video processing software which could be
used in a totalitarian state to opprimate people. That's why I want to word
an "entertainment only" license for this project. I don't want to restrict
code exchange between like-minded peoples, but if it is impossible to achieve
this goal of non-military use whithout breaking gpl compatibility, then I
prefer to break it.

I believe this is a concern for many potential developers, and that a
properly worded license should be written. However I'm not a lawyer and this
is the best wording I could find. The actual terms are derived from this
project's license:
http://www.siebel-research.de/people_tracking/reading_people_tracker/ . I
believe you will understand clearly why such projects needs such a
restrictive license in my mind.

To express it clearly : I don't like Free Software to be used to restrict
people's freedom, and I believe a license preventing this would make the
software more free in this scope.

However I feel this "gpl-with-restriction" approch is not necesarly the best.
I'll keep you updated when I word-out an "entertainment only" free software
license for such artwork. However if you agree with this point and know
better the law aspects feel free to help me in this wording :)
