The project python-eduwidgets aims to provide a simple library for people
developing interactive applications usable for education.
Most of the good educational software comes from peoople having an important
background as teacher, either collaborating with coworkers skilled in
programming, or written by their own.
In the latter case, i.e. teachers with an important experience of teaching
and a less important experience in programming, things can be made easier
when they can access libraries which feature primitives having semantics near
pedagogical objects, rather than primitives whose semantics refer to the art
of generating attractive layouts.
Also, a rich set of simple examples is an important asset to help beginners
in learning the usage of the library.
The library python-eduwidgets is to be released under the license GPL version
3, or any newer version at your will.

pyQT4, numpy, python-gnuplot, matplotlib, and many other free-libre librries.

Some implementations of this library already exist in scientific programs
pymecavideo, pysatellites, available at

The library python-eduwidgets comes as a direct consequence of these
beginning projects, as their authors need to encapsulate their work in some
higher level library.
