2600fr [0] is an informal organisation that tries to be a common space to all
the 2600 meetings in France and possibly in Belgium and Switzerland.
2600 [1] is an organisation that publish a quaterly journal called "2600: The
Hacker Quaterly" that deals with security in various fields: computer science,
telephone, satellites, etc. Meetings [2] to talk about those subjects are
organised everywhere in the world on the first friday every month. In France,
the main meetings are in Paris, in Rennes and in Lille. Other meetings existed
and died in Lyon and Grenoble.
We would like to better coordinate the maintenance of the website, which has
become a central point for all the 2600 meetings in France, thanks to GNA.
The values carried by the 2600 meetings are close to the values of Free
Software: knowledge sharing, openness, beer :P
