==== Description: ====
noclutter-osd is the result of one part of my thoughts on what the desktop
should be. OSD is currently under-used because most OSD programs are not good
enough. Most OSD programs can be clicked on, and therefore clutter the screen.
I believe that any information displayed by OSD should not interfere with the
mouse and let the user interact with the underlying objects. Moreover, any
extended mouse activity near the area of the OSD applet should make it
disappear, and optionally reappear somewhere else on the screen temporarily.

Lots of information can be displayed by OSD. This applet currently focuses on
displaying time and date, but one can also display network or battery status,
etc. Such information can then be removed from clickable space on the
existing panels, docks or the like, and the number of said panels can be
reduced, eating less screen space.

Current applets displaying time or battery status have recycled their
clickable space to display useful information (e.g. a calendar) but this is
not necessary since such information could be displayed e.g. when the main
menu is opened.

Currently, the program simply displays the time without interfering with any
mouse clicks on it and a feature to make it disappear when hovered on is in
the works.
