==== Description: ====
This project aims at creating a MUD client for *nix systems written in
Haskell. Source code can be found here:
http://depositfiles.com/files/g99yxunzw (source code comments and docs are in
Spanish). It's at an early stage of development, only including an automapper.
The next step will be to include telnet support (by writing a telnet library
for Haskell), and later a graphical automapper (using
http://projects.haskell.org/gtk2hs/). The project aims at good Unicode
support, both graphical and command-line UIs and an easy to translate
interface.
==== Other Software Required: ====
It depends only on free Haskell libraries (currently: vty, arrows, parsec,
diffarray and mtl). All of them are available in some distros, like Debian,
but some of them aren't available in others, like Gentoo. You can find them
at: http://hackage.haskell.org/packages/archive/pkg-list.html . It will use
also gtk2hs library. It will include support for loading zMUD maps, which are
stored in MS Acces format, using mdbtools (http://mdbtools.sourceforge.net/).
Nonetheless, the program will store maps in its own format (at the current
stage, text files; later, maybe a sqlite database).
