tried to find the irc channel, without success. So my comment goes here.
CinePaint, www.cinepaint.org, has optional Oyranos support in CVS. Thus
it links to Elektra. Other apps has signaled to go similiar.
As I allready mentioned in bugs.libelektra.org, currently unreachable,
the locale switching within elektra is not acceptable.
Floats are not read any more correctly by sscanf and friends.
CinePaint is broken because of this. A release must wait for a solution.
IMO Elektra can work without changing the locale. If you give some test
cases where it can not work without setlocale switchning, we can work on
fixing that.
