Great, Stanley, thanks for checking that out! This confirms that the bug is either 1) in the Ubuntu kernel patches, or 2) has been fixed between the current Lucid kernel and the trunk. To tell between these two, could you test using the mainline build from the current Lucid one? You can use the map at <http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/info/kernel- version-map.html>, and it's probably 2.6.32.11. Thanks in advance, it's nice to see people that are willing to take effort to get a bug fixed.
