I downloaded the latest de.po from git, updated the translation using poEdit and posted it in a bug report to Alioth. While browsing launchpad translation I saw in the suggestions that the same lines have been translated 2-3 times over the last years. You should somehow merge or disable Launchpad translation in this case so there is not duplicate effort.
