The problem appears after boot on Windows XP, infinite loop after bios boot. This seems to be a related to Novell ZISD (see mbr_bad) : this is a corporate computer an there is a Novell Client installed on it. I have already installed Fedora 13 on the same computer, with the same disk configuration, without any problem related to grub, so there must be a solution already. I switched back to lilo, of course the boot screen looks "vintage", but at least everything works fine. includes files described in comment #4.
